Some Ray Ban advertisements I can across, but one in particular made me think if this would be acceptable in the consumer industry 5 years ago. Out society has changed a lot in 5 years of what is acceptable and what is not. What is on advertisements 5 years ago are very different than today's.
Here are some other Ads that I found relating to Ray Ban

NEW Miller Lite Can Top
Everybody has been doing it for years, just a more complicated way. I am surprised no other company has come up with this idea yet. The only concern I have is if the hole is big enough to be more effective than the self made hole. Additions to a product can be a good idea and be a really good marketing idea where sales will go up for a bit, but i do not see this idea sticking.
Guerilla marketing
This is definitely one, but effective way of marketing a product. Just think about how many people walk past these displays everyday. It is different to the norm of what people are use to seeing, so automatically it catches the eye of the consumer. Take a look at a few of these I found.
Slutty Brownies
These were just too good to pass up without blogging about, just as a consumer the name of the brownies alone makes me want to look into it more. They're called Slutty Brownies because they're oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. Great marketing job if you ask me.

Brands
Ever think just 10 brands could make up most of the brands you see today in our consumer market? I think this is pretty cool seeing who Kraft owns or Pepsico. Wanna stick to your brand loyalty? Check this chart out.

Old Spice Champion: Believe in your Smellf
Old Spice is known for their odd, extreme, and random commercials, just like this one. I am sure we all know beating a horse in a race and driving a sand sedan will not happen just by wearing Old Spice. I myself wear Old Spice, but do not expect these things to happen, but if you like to imagine these things happening as you wear their product, then go crazy with it. The commercials definitely catch attention and leave a strange "WTF just happened feeling" in the consumers mind, but yet, I'm strangely attracted to it...
